Last month, Coastal Scents had a Black Friday sale where it was 50% off everything in the store!
Being a huge fan of their products, I got on the website and started loading up my shopping trolley with palettes, brushes and other goodies. However, due to the huge popularity of the sale, the website was very slow and laggy and even froze at times. By the time I picked everything I wanted and went to check out, I was devastated to find that the sale had ended!
However, at the start of this month, Coastal Scents held a 40% off Holiday Sale, and this time I was determined to get my order through!
My order added up to $97.49 in total, which is amazing for so many items! Below I will go through each of the products I bought.

Coastal Scents 88 Mirage Palette
RRP – $24.95
After discount – $14.97
This 88 eyeshadow palette has a beautiful spectrum of jewel-toned shades. I’ve been eying this as soon as it was released but couldn’t really justify getting yet another eyeshadow palette as I already own most of them.
So the 40% discount definitely gave me the opportunity to try this gorgeous palette without feeling TOO guilty

Coastal Scents 28 Neutral Palette
RRP – $18.95
After discount – $11.37
Although this neutral palette is very similar to the 88 Warm Palette, I bought it as it is more compact and therefore ideal for traveling. Also the eyeshadow pots are much more secure than the 88 palette and less likely to fall out and break.
All the colours in the palette can be applied wet or dry.

Coastal Scents 66 Lip Palette
RRP – $18.95
After discount – $11.37
I’ve been wanting to get a lip palette from Coastal Scents for quite a while now but didn’t know whether to get this one or the 32 palette.
I ended up deciding on this one because it has such a large selection of colours, including ‘weird’ colours like blue and gold (perfect for my dramatic/costume tutorials!).
The palette includes shimmer, matte and glossy finishes.

Coastal Scents Camo Quads (Medium and Dark)
RRP – $7.95 each
After discount – $4.77 each
These camo quads features four creamy shades to camouflage, conceal, highlight or contour any area of the face. The colours can also be blended and mixed together to achieve the ideal shade.
The medium camo quad contains the shades most suitable for my skin tone, but I also bought the dark camo quad as it can also come in handy for dramatic/costume tutorials (also because it’s such a good price!).

From left to right – Coastal Scents Synthetic Domed Large Kabuki, Destiny Precision Angled Liner, Destiny Blender, Synthetic Angle Blush and Define
RRP – $14.95, $2.19, $2.49, $6.95
After discount – $8.97. $1.31, $1.49, $4.17
Although I already have an huge collection of makeup brushes, I took this chance to try out a few new brushes I don’t currently own.
To be honest, I didn’t have high expectations for these brushes because they are so cheap. But wow – was I surprised! The brushes are all very soft, especially the kabuki and the angled brush.
The kabuki is very dense and ideal for applying loose or pressed powders. The angled blush and define brush is great for applying cream or powder blush and bronzer and also ideal for contouring. The angled liner brush allows easy application of gel, cream or liquid liner, and the the blending brush is great for blending eyeshadow in the crease because of its pointed bristles.

Coastal Scents Brush Guard (Variety Pack)
RRP – $4.95
After discount -$2.97
I already own two sets of these brush guards but I can always do with more as I have already misplaced a few.
I came across these brush guards from watching Michelle Phan’s brush cleaning video, where she used them to hold the shape of her brushes after washing them.
They are also ideal to use to on your makeup brushes when traveling so that they don’t lose their shape.

Coastal Scents Glitter Powder (from left to right – Golden Fairy Dust, Sahara Sand, Black Magic Hologram, Crimson)
RRP – $1.50 each
After discount – 90c each
These glitter powders are just the sample size, but once I empty them into small jars, there’s surprisingly alot of product!
I bought them all in the 0.004 particle size, which is the finest size and making it safe for cosmetic use.
My favourite is the Black Magic glitter powder, as it’s loaded with a variety of sparkling hologram shades – so pretty!
All the prices displayed above are in US dollars and not including the shipping and handling fee, which is calculated depending on the country and the combined weight of the products.
The shipping to Australia for all of these items are $27.72 via Federal Express (International Economy) and it took 9 days to arrive, which is pretty fast in my opinion!
If you missed out on this big sale, then make sure you sign up to their e-mail list or follow them on Twitter, where you will be immediately informed of any future sales (and they happen very often!).
Please let me know if you would like to see a separate review on any of the above products and I will try my best to do so
