Last month, ILoveThisBox contacted me about trialing their very first November box and doing a blog review.
They are the Australian version of Birchbox, which is the concept of a monthly box of 4 to 5 luxury sample beauty products delivered right to your door.
ILoveThisBox offers a month-to-month membership for $14.95 per month or an annual membership for $164 per year (1 month free). Both include free delivery within Australia and no other hidden costs. You can even buy an annual subscription as a gift for someone, which is a great idea for Christmas!
They also have a fun concept called ‘LovePoints’. Through various activities such as signing up for a membership, referring friends, filling out surveys, posting a blog or video review, you can earn different amounts of LovePoints. You can then use these points to participate in special promotions, raffles and contests and redeem them for prizes.
Lastly, ILoveThisBox also has a beauty blog, which updates with the latest news, trends and tips from beauty professionals.
The packaging of ILoveThisBox has a pretty purple colour theme. The products inside are carefully wrapped in purple tissue paper sealed with a cute heart sticker. Receiving this box definitely feels like receiving a personalised present ^___^
Also inside the box, there is a card from the ILoveThisBox team, which tells you more about the company and the concept.
On the back of the card, there is a detailed list of all the beauty products in this month’s box, including product descriptions and recommended retail prices.
And when you open the wrapping, you will see that the box is chock full of beauty goodies! I will go through them one by one for you guys

Keratinology by Sunsilk Salon Perfection Hair Collection
RRP: $10.99 – $14.99
This new shampoo and conditioner from Sunsilk provides intense repair to prolong the effects of salon treated hair. They both contain advanced formulations with keratin micro technology, which reconstructs the hair surface, while micro nutrients penetrate into the hair to deeply nourish it.
This collection appears to be Sunsilk’s entry into the professional salon haircare product category, comparable to the likes of Redken, De Lorenzo and Matrix.
These are actually the full sized products because they are 200ml. Although I don’t often get my hair treated at the salon, I’m very interested in trying this out to see if it makes a difference to my hair.

POD Puraceuticals Liquid Tan – Gradual Tanning Face Serum
RRP: $40
This is a light-weight serum which develops a subtle, lasting fake tan within hours of application. It is formulated with an eco-cert vegetable tanning active suitable for sensitive skin and Replic-8 to fight the signs of aging. It can be applied every 2-3 days to build the colour.
This is another full-sized product! Although it says that it’s suitable for people with sensitive skin, I am still a bit apprehensive about using it because it does have quite a strong (but pleasant) fragrance. I think I will perform a patch test before using it all over my face.

NVEY ECO Eye Shadow – Taupe (#172)
RRP: $29
This eyeshadow is Certified Organic and enriched with organic jojoba oil and chamomile, with added vitamins A, C and E. Because it is made with organic ingredients, it is suitable for dry and sensitive skin.
Although it comes in a sample packaging, the eyeshadow itself is in-fact full-size. The taupe shade is versatile and will suit most skin tones.

Essi French Affair Spring Nail Polish Collection – Nice is Nice
RRP: $18.95
This is part of Essi’s French Affair Spring Collection, described as wildly romantic and effortlessly chic. It takes inspiration from the beaches of St Tropez and exudes casual elegance and sophistication.
This is my first Essi nail polish and I am SO excited to try it out, because I’ve heard alot of good things about the brand. I’m also in love with the pastel purple – perfect for Spring in Australia!

Caudalie Paris Set of 3 Facial Samples
RRP: $80
Three cute samples of Caudalie’s patented grape-seed products – a moisturiser, an anti-wrinkle serum and an anti-wrinkle nourishing cream. They are all enriched with antioxidant active ingredients to preserve the skins youthful appearance.
I’m not sure if I’ll be trying these, as I don’t have much use for anti-wrinkle products, but they sure are adorable!
Overall, I was highly impressed by the quality of the very first box from ILoveThisBox, it is definitely comparable to Birchbox. I love this fun concept because it allows you to trial different products and brands which you otherwise might not ever think of trying, not to mention it is also very affordable (especially since many of the products are full size)!
I’m definitely looking forward to what they have in store for their future boxes!
