For a couple of years now, Revlon’s ColorStay Eyebrow Liner (Blonde) has been my HG brow liner. However, while browsing in Priceline last week, I saw that Models Prefer had an eyebrow pencil which looked almost identical to Revlon’s, but for less than half the price. So I bought it to try and here is how I compare the two.

Revlon ColorStay Eyebrow Liner (Blonde) – Waterproof
RRP – $21.95AUD (Also comes in ‘Dark Brown’)

Thin pencil with the retractable brow liner on one end and a spoolie on the other. This eyebrow liner glides on very smoothly, although it is a little waxy due to it being waterproof. The colour lasts all day and is the perfect shade for me (despite not being a ‘blonde’) – very natural and not too dark and harsh.

Models Prefer Retractable Eyebrow Pencil (Light)
RRP – $8.99AUD (Also comes in ‘Medium’ and ‘Dark’)

Models Prefer is an Australian cosmetics brand which is exclusive to Priceline and Priceline Pharmacies. Their products are affordable and I have heard alot of good things about their professional makeup brushes.

It has the exact same product design as Revlon eyebrow liner. The texture is also very similar, although it does not indicate that it’s waterproof. However, I still found it to be as long-lasting as Revlon’s (it might be because I always use brow gel to set the liner). The shade is a fraction lighter than Revlon’s ‘Blonde’ (the ‘Medium’ shade is a bit darker), but it still suits me very well.

From the photos (apologies for the slightly different lighting), you can see how similar the liners look – the colour difference is almost indiscernible!

Overall, I am pleasantly surprised at how similar the Model’s Prefer Eyebrow Pencil is to Revlon’s ColorStay Eyebrow Liner and would say with confidence that it is a good-quality dupe. And for such an affordable price, I am definitely considering switching my eyebrow liner from Revlon to Models Prefer.
